Our Story

Growing up in a Nigerian household as the only daughter among three brothers, founder Halima learned early that the kitchen could be more than a place where meals were prepared.

Beside her mother, she learned recipes, techniques and traditions but also something less tangible: how food could gather a family, create conversation and turn an ordinary moment into something remembered.

After losing her mother, those memories took on a different meaning.

Life would eventually take Halima from Nigeria to Dubai and later to the United States. With every move came new cultures, flavors and experiences, but cooking remained one of the ways she could return to something familiar.

A taste. A recipe. A table filled with people. A feeling of home.

Over time, that connection evolved into House of Leemarh.

What began with food became a larger vision for hospitality—one where Nigerian heritage could be honored while embracing the influences gathered through a life lived across cultures.

Today, House of Leemarh creates private dining experiences, bespoke catering and curated gatherings designed around more than a menu.
